July 28, 1900: Gaetano Bresci, an Italian anarchist who emigrated to America, returns to Milan with one goal: to assassinate King Umberto I. After casing the Royal Villa of Monza, he meets Teresa, a prostitute in a rundown Milanese brothel. He spends the night with her, not for pleasure, but to rest and prepare. An unexpected connection forms over the course of the night. Gaetano, driven by his ideology, is confronted by Teresa's disillusioned worldview, a woman shaped by survival. Their encounter forces both to question their beliefs on the eve of a moment that will change history.
